Our Mission

Senior Life Source (SLS) is a registered 501c3 Non-Profit Organization. It was founded by a group of professionals that are passionate about serving people of all ages who are facing aging issues throughout the greater San Diego area.  SLS focuses on educating the public through interactive panels & workshops held at familiar, easy to access locations in all communities and online. Through our educational events, we provide competent and objective advice on many topics that will enhance the quality of life for those we serve.

Our Workshops

Our virtual and face-to-face interactive panels and workshops are presented in the format of a moderated panel of local experts. In this format, a moderator presents questions from the attendees. Each panelist answers the question in the context of their own area of expertise. Time is reserved for one-on-one attendee interaction with the panelists at the end of each event.

Our Panelists

Senior Life Source seeks to engage the best and brightest expert panelists in the aging field and other niche senior service providers. Each panelist is fully vetted and only those with the highest integrity and ethical standards are selected.

Through this engagement, it is our intent to position Senior Life Source as the preeminent resource for all topics on aging, so that everyone has a chance to live a quality life during their extended years.

Benefits

A critical issue that we all face as a newly aging society is figuring out how to care for ourselves and others as we age through our extended life stages. The best way to live a quality life as we age is through knowledge of the aging process and the resources available to us. Here are some benefits that our educational panels and workshops provide for different groups.

Companies/ Organizations

Employer – Investing in workplace wellbeing is a critical pathway to long‐term workforce effectiveness, or cultivating a “sustainable workforce.” By creating a strong workforce you will attract new valuable employees and add worth to your organization. This, in turn, can lead to a more productive team with less turnover.

Employees– Gain important information/resources for becoming better informed and prepared for the various aging issues they might be facing now, or will most likely face in the future. This leads to better work-life balance, a decrease in absenteeism, and a healthier quality of life overall.

Individuals

Don’t wait for a crisis to happen to you or a loved one and then try to navigate the complex system of aging information and resources. Being proactive will increase the chances of having a higher quality of life for yourself or others close to you during the extended years. You can gain:

  • Coping techniques for extended life transitions
  • More focus and productivity at work
  • Less stress and improved relationships
  • More savings for retirement
  • More time for recreation/vacations
  • Better overall health (physical and mental wellbeing)
  • Quality time with those you love
  • Continuing connection with your community
  • Increased independence and choice for your optimal type of care
  • Being the best advocate for yourself or loved one by being informed
Communities

We create mutually beneficial relationships between our panelists and the communities they serve.

Panelists– The workshops allow you to demonstrate your expertise and increase your visibility in the community, which builds trust, expands your partner network, and can potentially lead to new clients.

Communities–  Provide exposure and draw people into your community. Give your current members the opportunity to have a trusted place to find the answers to their questions all in one place, rather than searching countless websites looking for information. Connect them to local professionals, and become recognized as a reputable resource for education on aging topics.
