Meet Kim
Kim Lange is a skilled sales and marketing professional, and she is an experienced business manager. She has used her strong interpersonal and creative skills, working in a variety of industries.
Combining her compassion for Senior Citizens and her managerial skills, she was most recently the Executive Director of the Ed Brown Senior Center in Rancho Bernardo. She cultivated new members, donors, and volunteers, through increased community engagement and her team building skills.
Prior to that, she was co-owner of the very beloved Art N Soul on 101, local artisan gallery, in Encinitas, Ca. With the unique business model of supporting local artists, and after expenses, all profits were donated to local charities.
Her background also includes office manager and loan processor in the mortgage industry for more than 10 years, extensive management and training experience, working for major retail operations, like Macys and The Disney Store. She even spent several years as a flight attendant.
Kim and her husband, Ted, continue to support Serving Seniors, a 501c3, dedicated to improving the quality of life for our City’s low-income Seniors, and Kim is on the board of the charity Girlfriends Care.
She was born in Santa Barbara, CA, and raised in the small beach town of Carpinteria. After a family move to Las Vegas, where she finished high school and college, she moved to San Diego in 1989, and now calls Carlsbad home!
Outside of Work
Kim is a lover of the arts, and she and her husband, Ted, regularly attend performances at the Old Globe, La Jolla Playhouse, and The Rady Shell. ” We are so blessed in San Diego to have world class theater and music performances.“
Kim has a great love for the Hawaiian Islands and its culture. She began traveling to Hawaii at the age of 9, and has made numerous trips to Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and Big Island. Her husband, Ted, bought her a book to start recording her Bucket List items. She had always wanted to learn Hula, so she signed up for her first class in 2017 and dances with Halau Hula O Kealoha.
