Meet Ted

Ted Lange “CFP” was born and raised in Nebraska, “Go Big Red!”

Ted is a veteran insurance and securities executive, with nearly 40 years of experience, who founded and led Three successful Omaha, Nebraska companies: Equity Planning and Equity Banking Services, Inc., with financial planners located in 105 Midwest community banks.

From 2001-2006, Ted also served as President and CEO of QA3 a regional broker dealer, overseeing their growth from 5 FINRA registered financial planners to over 800, producing over $100 million in gross revenue.

In 2006 after an especially hard Nebraska winter, Ted cried, “That’s Enough!”  Come spring, he retired and moved to Carlsbad to escape the snow.   Now that he was warm and cozy, he discovered that retirement was not as exciting as he thought it would be.

Ted’s passion for Financial Planning started him on a new career in 2010: Partnering with financial planners to help their retired clients leverage home equity to strengthen and enhance their retirement plans.

Ted has served on the Board of Directors of “Serving Seniors” www.servingseniors.org San Diego’s largest Senior Support Group. Ted is also a member of Rancho Santa Fe Rotary Club.

Ted’s wife Kim was a partner in Art N Soul on 101 in Encinitas from 2014 to it’s closing in 2023.   Art N Soul featured a wide range of original art from local artists.  Each year the gallery donated its profits to local charities.
